Maharishi Central University’s cutting-edge, state-of-the-art curriculum, developed by world-renowned quantum physicist Dr. John Hagelin, is based upon the most advanced scientific knowledge of our age: the discovery of the Unified Field. It delivers Total Knowledge to every student, and promotes total brain functioning—enlightenment—full development of mind, body and behavior.
The Unified Field, or “superstring field,” is the dynamical origin of all the laws of nature—the field of Total Natural Law. All the laws of physics, chemistry, physiology, etc., can be systematically derived from the Unified Field and its associated equations. The Unified Field thereby constitutes the long-sought, mathematically rigorous, inter-disciplinary foundation for all the sciences, and for the whole field of academic study.
Maharishi Central University will offer every graduate and undergraduate student the most advanced scientific knowledge of the Unified Field. Every student will thereby become established in the foundation of knowledge—Total Knowledge—while progressing in his or her specialized field.
Equally important, students will gain direct experience of the Unified Field, utilizing the most advanced, scientifically proven educational technologies—the Transcendental Meditation® program and advanced techniques. Discovery of the Unified Field
The groundbreaking curriculum of Maharishi Central University is based upon the most advanced scientific knowledge of our age: the discovery of the Unified Field. During the past quarter century, modern physics has explored progressively more fundamental levels of nature’s functioning at the atomic, nuclear and sub-nuclear scales, culminating in the recent discovery of the Unified Field—a single, universal field of nature’s intelligence at the foundation of the universe.
This Unified Field, or “E8xE8 superstring field,” is the crowning achievement of fifty years of advanced research in quantum gravity theory, and is expressed most concisely in the following, compact Lagrangian, or “super-formula,” presented, for simplicity, in the super-conformal gauge:

This Unified Field is the unified source of all the diverse laws of nature governing the universe. All the laws of physics, physiology, chemistry, and all the physical sciences can be rigorously derived from the Lagrangian, above. This derivation begins with the Fock Space Representation Equation:
This equation first identifies the massless modes of the superstring with specific forces and particles (i.e., the gravitational vielbein eim, gravitino ym, spin-1 gauge forces Am, spin-½ fermions l, etc.). It then derives their effective 10-dimensional N=1 supergravity Lagrangian L10 by examining the dependence of the superstring action (perturbatively derived as a sum over worldsheet topologies Sg) on these massless string modes (eim, etc.), introduced as background fields. After a subsequent spacetime super-compactification from 10 to 4 dimensions, the resulting supergravity Lagrangian L4 governs the whole field of expressed, macroscopic physics above the Planck scale—and thus indirectly, the whole of chemistry, physiology, and all the physical and biological sciences.
The Unified Field thus provides the long-sought, mathematically rigorous, interdisciplinary foundation for all the sciences, and for the whole field of academic study.
Unified Field Based Education
At Maharishi Central University, every student will gain the most advanced scientific knowledge of the Unified Field through the mathematical approach of modern physics. Every student will thereby become thoroughly established in the foundation of knowledge—gaining Total Knowledge in seed form. Without such knowledge, the entire field of education is essentially baseless.
Equally important, students will gain direct experience of the Unified Field through their daily practice of the Transcendental Meditation program and advanced techniques. Such experience is practically possible through the pioneering discovery of Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam, the world’s foremost neuroscientist and medical researcher. His research, for which he was awarded his weight in gold, establishes the innate capability of the human brain to experience the Unified Field, and illuminates the detailed physiological mechanisms through which the Vedic technologies of consciousness, including the Transcendental Meditation technique, enable such experience—as confirmed empirically by more than 600 published scientific studies (see above).
Through this integrated approach to knowledge, which combines intellectual understanding of the Unified Field through modern science with direct experience of the Unified Field through Vedic science, students at Central University will gain complete mastery of the Unified Field—mastery of Total Knowledge.

Cutting-edge knowledge from every discipline will be stored and graphically presented on grand exhibitions of computer-driven panels—to showcase the core knowledge of every discipline in the light of Total Knowledge, the Unified Field. Maharishi Central University will be located in the exact geographic center of the United States, a natural seat of power and a unifying point for the whole country—a serene setting on several square miles of lush farmland, rich with lakes and rivers. From this central location, Maharishi Central University will also serve as a powerful generator of peace and invincibility for the U.S. and for the entire world. This is because its students will all be trained in the powerful, peace-promoting technologies of Transcendental Meditation and its advanced techniques. On the individual level, these techniques have been shown, through extensive published research, to eliminated stress, promote coherent brain functioning, and bring deep peace to the individual. On a societal level, research has shown that the collective practice of these same techniques by a group of sufficient size effectively dissolves acute societal stress, and thereby prevents the eruption of war, terrorism and other social violence. Indeed, according to research, even 8,000 such trained peace-creating experts will produce an influence of unity and positivity of sufficient magnitude to virtually eliminate war and terrorism on a global scale.

Block System for Optimal Learning
Maharishi Central University will operate on the block system, in which students take one course at a time, full time. This popular system provides an optimal, relaxed learning environment, in which students can dive deeply into a single subject, and are not forced to divide their time and attention between several competing subjects with often conflicting deadlines. Yet even as students dive deeply into specific disciplines through the block system, the holistic perspective of Total Knowledge will be preserved through the aforementioned exhibitions, which graphically display the totality of knowledge at a glance. This highly integrated approach to education effectively enlivens the totality of knowledge in every student—all knowledge in one brain—and contrasts sharply with the conventional definition of a university, which is all knowledge on one campus.
